I LOVE SUPER MACRO . . .

IT WAS WINDY, AND I TRIED TO GET A TOP VIEW, BUT IT MOVED, AND IT ENDED UP COMING OUT KINDA GOOD. . . .

I ADDED SATURATION, AND CHANGED CONTRAST IN THE PIC WITH 2 AND THE END OF FILE NAME.....

IM NOT SURE IF IT CAME OUT BETTER BEFORE OR AFTER COLOR EFFECTS. ..

Blurry And Out Of Focus, Try Using A Tripod And Dont Shoot On Windy Days, Unless Your Inside......

I AGREE.... IT IS HARD TO TRIPOD WITH BUTTERFLY SHOTS THOUGH . . .
ESPECIALLY A SUPER MACRO.....THE WIND. . .YEAH, A NOREASTER . . .

You dont need a tripod or non windy days. i personaly, and lots of others, shoot up to 5x life size without tripods. what gear do u use?

The pictures look suffer from heavily crop from original to me or the focusing point is already over the camera limit.

The blurry here is not due to the wind or hand shake but mis-focused.

Tripod with butterfly only when the butterfly is tame enough to pose for you.

From your shots, this butterfly was feeding on flower nectar and it will not stay more than 5 seconds based on the behaviour of this family.

So, a dSLR with fast focusing lock on and advisable. It is hard to do it with compact DC imho.

Good try nevertheless.
