Have been putting a lot of effort into POV lately. Especially on shore birds and waders. Makes a big diference IMO.

The White Pelicans are finally back, but they were not being very cooperative today. Shot these at 1200mm. Hope to improve on this soon. Tried a few flight shots with the 2x on. Bad idea. Auto-focus is WAY too slow for that.

Great shots, #1 is fantastic and #2 having 3 pelicans in one frame showing behaviour is great in its own way, well done.

Now, these are indeed great shots. The low angle with the first is cool........

Yeah the pelicans almost look like reflections of one another. Very cool.

Both shots are keepers, Bob, but the second shot with the four pelicans is my favorite.

Great shots. I like the low-angle. Very different from the normal shot.

Hi Bob.
Love these two, the low angle as others have said works great for these shots.
Bokeh and subject isolation on pic 1 is stunning

Absolutely! When you get down to eye level, whether it is babies or birds, the photos take on a whole new perspective and view that we typically do not see when looking down.
