wow, CDS, these are some great photos. I like all of them.

Looks like you and scottes have become one with all those birds, since you're there every other day :P

Great images CDS... the first is beautiful and the 3rd, with the awesome body position & angle, is just fantastic!

Wonderful shots! The sandpiper in flight is great, as the one below it. And the 2nd egret - Wow!

Glad you finally got time to post these.

They are all great. How do you guys capture those birds in flight. I have had very little luck with that.

Thanks guys,..

Yes,. August 21 seemed to be Canon Digitals Official Egret Day!

Lazy,
I liked number 3 as well.. (although I have to start applying some sharpening AFTER the resize :( ) ..the Egret had taken off flying right to left.. (pic #2) and suddenly decided to change course to "left > right" ... I was panning with it's motion.. so it was sheer luck that I didn't completely overshoot it when it simply "hung" there cranking it's neck and body around to face the other way..

The next shot in the series (not posted) the Egret is facing away from the camera.. then the last shot he's happliy flying left to right...

Jerry,.
I'm glad you like #2.. I think this is the best "egret in flight" I have managed. It looks great full sized :) I'm allways just happy to get one of these beasts without overexposing!
