I'm mostly looking for pictures of this bag. I have a Gitzo 3530S and would like to know how well of a fit the following bag is for it:

http://www.adorama.com/GZGE13P.html?searchinfo=ge13p&item_no=1

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/202379-REG/Gitzo_GE13P_GE13P_Padded_Tripod_Bag.html

The dimensions seem to be too long for the 3530S so I'm afraid there's going to be too much bag on each end.

I have the Gitzo 3530lsv and the GE13P. The bag is big but I can leave the wimberley head attached in the bag. The GE12P will be too small. The quality of the Gitzo bag (IMO) is outstanding but it is waterproof which may come in handy if you keep other items in the bag.

The bag for my tripod is too big. But I extend the legs in the bag so it fits snugly.

I just looked at the price of that Gitzo bag! Damn that's expensive!
Who in their right mind would pay $150 for a simple nylon padded bag?
Pick up the ThinkTank and get the word Gitzo screen printed on it if the name means that much.

Here's my tripod/bag lineup, arrived at after much brick & mortor and online comparisons of bags/dimensions:

Gitzo 3530LSV w/RRS BH-55 ballhead & Wimberley Sidekick > Gitzo GE13P tripod bag
Gitzo 5540L w/Full Wimberley > Gitzo GE13P tripod bag
Gitzo 2540 LVL w/ RRS BH-40 ballheady > Gitzo GE12P tripod bag

The Gitzo 3530LSV (video tripod) has a larger top plate (3 1/2" dia.) and measures about 5" at the widest point, which may be a bit larger than the 3530S. To specifically address your question, I switched the 3530LSV to the GE12P bag and it fit, albeit a bit snug when zipped due to the larger top end of this tripod. My guess it that the 3530S would be fine, provided the length is no longer than the 3530LSV, which is 26". I have about 6-7" extra room lengthwise in the GE12P with the 3530LSV. I don't mind the extra and could keep the legs extended a bit if I wanted a tight fit when putting it back in the bag.

For anyone looking for a bag for the Full Wimberley/Sidekick & tripod setups, the larger GE13P tripod bag accomodates these setups very well, with a fair amount of extra room that might allow for the transport of other gear (or another tripod) if desired.

The quality of these bags is IMO tops! I winced at bit at the price at the time I ordered, but am glad I spent top dollar since these are well made. I can feel confident that my expensive CF tripods are well protected in transit, despite the abuse they may take when in use! I'm sure there are other options out there, this is just where I ended up and I am well satisfied with my choice.

many people. The gitzo bag has plenty of room for other stuff, is top quality construction and water proof. If you don't need those features than get something else.
