Just more of a muckabout but what do you think of this type of PP on self portrait. Only crit I really seem to find is the light around my nose as compared to the rest of my face.

Any other areas?

For me it starts off wrong. It's not in focus enough for me (and it's not OOF with a purpose). I also don't really care for the crop and PP either. Sorry :(

But like you said, you're just mucking around, so no big deal ;)

Here's my quick go at it. I like your crop on the original, so I kept it.

Looks good. I think i should have increased my DOF a bit more. looks bit too shallow.

Thanks for the feedback.

haha, that seems to be going on a lot at the moment :-)

I think the light streak across the eyes, instead of the lower part of the bridge of the nose and cheeks, would look good.

The 50 F1.8 at 1.8 isn't that sharp from what I have read about, stopping down a couple and hitting the eyes would be cool.

bnlearle,
Can you explain your post processing? I like it.

It's a lomo action that I downloaded somewhere (tweaked to my preference). I think I got it here -

I really like "professional retro" as well. It's a nice cross processing action. ;)
