Purchased a Tamron 90mm this weekend, and took it to a local garden. Came across this little bugger sunning itself.

I was afraid to go closer :oops:, and the shot is hand-held. One of my first shots with a dedicated 1:1 macro lens, any tips, C&C would be more than helpful.

Nice shot very cute looking lizard, but as lance says either missed focus or a bit of motion blur. i have that lens too, you will love it.

Thank you for the feedback Lance and Alistair. I need to practice on the focus, and maybe get used to carrying a tripod. Am really excited about this lens- purchased it after a lot of "research" and hoping to do justice to its capabilties.

Not a bad shot at all Ajay - and congrats on the lens, by all accounts it's a fine lens. Looks a bit like motor blur to me as the lizard looks sharp from the neck down.

I was more afraid of what it mite do to the brand new lens :)

Didnt want any spittle or teeth/tounge scratch marks on the front element
