A friendly Snipe ?

Normally these birds are off like a shot at the first sign of humanoids but for whatever reason this little chap was happy to be snapped.

You are lucky. The only time I see these is from behind when they are flying away zig zagging about 50 mph. Well done a great shot.

Lovely shot. I have been hearing about these birds for over 50 years and have never seen one yet. I've even been on a snipe hunt. :mrgreen:

Thanx Mitch and downy. Don`t know why this bird was like this but it was only about 10-15 feet away so even I managed to get a decent shot of it.
