Ok, if it's not a UFO, then what is it? It's a moon relection, but why, and how do I make it go away?

What lens are you using? and do you have a UV/haze filter on it? I find when shooting with my 50mm f/1.8 in low light situations with the filter on I get ghosting on my images.

Using the 50mm f/1.8 with a UV/Haze. Would the filter do that? I don't do long exposures often. Come to think of it, I don't know that I've ever taken of the "protective" filter......

Looks liek the sunseting caused some light to shine off the clouds... long evenign exposure can do that. Just a guess.

It's a moon shot, right?
Looks like a reflection from a filter to me.

No no no.
It's not an alien you saw
It was light from swamp gas reflected off a weather balloon trapped in a thermal pocket

Seriously?
Filter and/or cloud reflections

You're wrong. That looks like the Alien spacecraft that abducted me a few weeks back and probed my body (both good and bad) while I was in a state of suspended animation (beer) then returned me to earth.

Were you shooting through a window? In any case, you'll need to use the "clone" tool to paint it over.
