I should have said Red Bugus Tripodis.
That's the leg of my Manfrotto tripod the bug is stuck to.
I helped him off the tripod with a leaf , but then he got stuck to the leaf!
Eventually he won the tug of war. (against some goo of his own making?)

1DMK2n Sigma 150 macro. Tripod was resting on a railing so I used a bean bag on top of the railing to support the camera. Used my Delta flip flash bracket with 430EX flash.
EXIF removed, without booting up the other PC , I'll say ISO 100 , 1,320 , F8
in M with flash on -2/3.
Only had the macro lens and bracket for a few days.

I recently purchased an insect book. This is one bug that appears identical in the book. Should be easy to remember , it's a Red Bug! Also known as Fire Bugs. Feeds on trees. Some species referred to as Cotton Stainers.
Order: Hemiptera Family: Pyrrhocoridae

Nice shots- looks like a seed eating capsid bug- perhaps it got caught in some spiders webbing or perhaps it's only just shed it's skin ?
