I am thinking of buying the Lens Adapter and Close-Up Lens for my A70 and was wondering if any one has had any experience with it. And if it will be worth spending the money on?

I've read that the Canon macro lens isn't worth the price. But a relatively cheap set of close-ups/macro filters can really help with focusing close up, and also magnify the scene a little bit. "Worth it" is a relative term, but if you like taking close-up/macro types of pictures, and the thought of spending $50-60 doesn't make you squirm, then I'd put it in the "worth it" category. :)

I bought a nice cheap set of Hoya close up filters for my a70. It came with the +5 +2 and +1. When combined to +7 it really makes a difference.

I would say that buying the lens adapter is very much worth the cost. It gives you great flexibility. Close up lenses aren't expensive (I don't think).

Thanks for your replys. I have decided to buy the Canon Adapter and to go with the Hoya close-up filters. These work out to be a lot cheaper than the Canon close-up lens. $AU39.95 for the Hoya filters and $AU149.00 for the Canon lens and $AU36.00 for the adapter. Being a newbie to photography I had not heard of Hoya filters and asked my local camera dealer about them and he said yes that would be the best way to go. He has ordered them for me and now all I have to do is wait a few weeks before I can get into some macro shooting.
