Just got signed up for a 20D - with no obligation to buy. Was promised I am the first on the list :D
If anybody is interested I have created a little spreadsheet comparing specs of 300D with 20D. It can be found here. (http://www.klein-jensen.dk/external/canon20d_vs300d.xls) Let me know if You find any erros in it so I can update it.

Tommy, where exactly did you sign up for the camera?
*edit: Did they give you a date (approximate) ?

You planning a trip to Denmark  because I signed up for it at a local shop in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Expected delivery, Canon DK can ship them from 20. september so maybe end of september or beginning october. It was actually little funny when I was down at the shop today because in the shop there was a Canon rep. He told me first of all that they had an embargo on the camera until 20. september and that they would not get enough cameras to meet demands !

I would love to see Copenhagen, but not for a 20D.... rather WITH a 20D. That's very soon. I was expecting something like the beginning of next year.

I couldn't stand it eigther. I just put in a order locally and I am 4th on the list. I don't have to take it if I don't like what I see when they come in. The dealer thinks delivery will be mid Sept. It has everything I wanted that the 10D doesn't, instant on/ awake, speed and better auto focus. The high flash is a plus for the built in unit! Larger buffer and the 8 mpx is ok with me :D
I know my 10D is less than a year old but what the heck, I have bought auto's at a much highter cost and traded them in a year :) so bring it on!!

I haven't really lost my mind only part of it :D

Very sensible, you would be shocked by what the 20D costs in Denmark with their incredible 25% VAT and other taxes.... :?
Tommy, if you don't mind me asking it, how much are you going to pay for your 20D?

That will be the same situation here. So if I decided to get the 20D, I'm planning to fly to a neighboring country in the morning, buy it, and come back in the evening. It's a lot cheaper that way.
