You have a lot going on there, Katie. This post would be better suited to the "Galleries" forum, or "Share Pictures". There is too much to critique. Please pick one - or maybe two - and post those individually for critique. (A good thought is to post one that you like, but for some reason, you just cant get it to be what you imagined when you took the shot. That is the point of critique - to find out what others do when similarly situated.)

Personally, the squirrel is my favorite.

The flower shots are a bit repetitive.

Kitty,

As rad said, you will get a much better response if you just pick one or two and ask for specific comments on them. If nothing else, it is pretty difficult to identify which photo we might be critiquing.

That said, I thought the squirrel one was pretty good, but my favorite was the yellow flower 5 up from the bottom. I think the contrast between the yellow and the black is great. Also nice use of DOF. However its a shame that the other flower in the foreground isn't entirely in the shot.

Keep 'em coming! :)

Kitty,

I would say the same as Big_B and Radtech1. Too many pictures to comment on.

I saw several overexposed. I figure you can identify which ones I'm referring to.

Nice squirrel. Nice birdfeeder. Cue the bird to face the camera next time. :)
Maybe try for a macro on the bee on the sunflower. Cue the bee. :D

with backlite background, use partial metering, it'll produce much better result, this is for your first shot.

rest of them are look alike, nothing got my particular attention, nothing special, but there is a lot of room for improvements.

word of advice though, you said it's portfolio, but with shots like that, it's not. portfolio is supposed to be 15-20 shots of your best work, every image has to be strong, not weak ones, with different stories, different techniques, or it can be a short photo essay. what you put on is more like a gallery.

hope it's not hash comment ... good luck :)

Yup! What they all said! You have a pretty good eye, so LOOK before you shoot & show us 1-2 of the results.

I like the squirrel one and the last one.

All the rest seem to lack colour and seem a little boring. :?
