Now I know why people feel so strongly about guns.
It will be a cold day in HE double hockey sticks when I plan on getting rid of my 200mm 1.8 lens.
Most if not all the shots were made at f/2.2 and speed between 1/640 and 1/1000 last night. I was shooting at ISO 1250 also.
I have to recalibrate my screens today so if they seem a twinge bright please tell me.
But a comment is prefered either way...

No they most certainly do not suck! Did you focus through the glass? Amazzing!!!!Very good work. I cant seem to focus so well. I have a 30 d. But I have a feeling that the operator is responsible.

Very nice crisp shots. I also interested in knowing if these are through the glass or from the bench. 1st and 3rd shots are my favorites.

All the shots taken of this game were from the penalty boxes opposite the benches. They are very nice because they are very large, enough to house a full line of players in.
There is no glass in them so I shot about 4 inches above the boards so I could get nice and low and take the shots.

Ross,
Nice job. Great faces and position. I like the shots.
Oh, for a shooting location with no glass at center ice and a very fast piece of primo glass!
The images look a little blue on my monitor, and a bit washed out, though. I'd like to see the reds pop more.
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the comments. I was starting to get a complex because I wasn't getting any replies.
Currently as I am typing this my Spyder 2 Pro is calibrating my screens. Hopefully this will make me see better as Im also having problems with both monitors flashing on and off. I hope I don't have to get a new video card as I have enough problems trying to get my color and sharpness correct.

These are great, man what detail....it is stuff like this that I will be a proud owner of that fancy shamnsy 200 f2 when it is released this spring.
Overall I find these to be a bit bright on my monitor...I am a reluctant Mac Pro owner and agree with Dennis that perhaps an easier solution is in the Apple world (although I disagree with those darn Mac vs PC Commercials :( )

Because this week Im not shooting until Friday I have alot of time and im trying to correctly learn about getting my color management issues taken care of.
I have a Mac G5 1.6Ghz currently. I have a Spyder2Pro monitor calibrator that Im using and I turned the lights off when I did the calibrations.
I am using 2 Samsung LCD monitors with my computer also, 19" and a 22" Widescreen.
My initial problems I am having before trying to deal with if the color is correct is my monitors are blinking on and off when I put photos up on the screen. It seems like they are being stressed out and they just turn black. Sometimes they flash and other times they just won't even turn back on.
I thought I had this situation taken care of but now Im also finding out as I read on that I have to next make sure the settings in PS are properly taken care of. I do believe that this is a large reason why alot of my photos are showing up washed out and bright when I do post them to the POTN page. But I have no clue of how to correctly remedy this situation yet.

Wanna try something.
Gonna post another one and see what it looks like
This was f/2.2 ISO 1250 1/500 speed.
It seems a twinge bright but thats so I can bring the face out. Give me some more feedback. This is a Save for the web posting also from CS2

Ross,
That looks better. I normally will bump the saturation up my +20 when I "Save for Web" in PS before posting here.
Ain't color management fun?

Usually Im not shooting in a mosh pit!
:)
Actually when Im shooting I have my 1D mk II + 200mm 1.8 combo on a monopod.
Im more worried about taking an errant puck off of the side of something.
