I had 10 extra minutes so I just *had* to get a few shots in. Here's the keeper of the morning.

Yeah, that would certainly be a keeper. Great shot and nice colors.

Nice shot Scottes!
I love chickadees ... when I'm out hunting these guys will occasionally land right on me or my bow. Always enjoy seeing them.

The detail is just fabulous... I love the whisp of feathers rising up over his wing. Great capture (as usual  )

this picture is too good...
question: what's the background? A green poster board or lots of photohsop? :P

Grass.
I have a little slope in the back yard so it's easy to get the grass as the background. It wasn't getting any sunlight, though, so it's much darker than usual.
Thanks for the comments folks!
PS: I removed a blue cast that I hadn't noticed earlier.

Another excellent image. Now you are forcing me to go and sit on the back gallery and see what lands on the feeders. Oh well someone has to do it.

Thanks for the comments folks. I'm really happy with this pic - it could be my most perfect bird shot yet. Simple, true, but it works quite well. I'm glad you all liked it.

Ya know, I still have that chair on the back balcony and it is being held together with camo duct tape. I really should take a picture of it.
