Had no luck with pics, was at Lough Gill on Friday where M. GRÖNHOLM crashed only seen 6 cars go through before they closed the stage, second time through seen 10 cars then a crash, stage closed again. to big a crowd, to many restrictions, give me a small rally any time
#1 Loeb on the second run

Nice pics! I love how you can see the drivers' and co-s' expressions - all kinda blank, with their wrecked cars...
I miss WRC coverage here in the states... replaced by canned drag racing shows and "Pimp my ride" BS... really a shame, it's a great circuit.
Thanks for the pics!

Nice shots Jim despite the shortage of cars
Darren Gass out in a Subaru, they don't sound as good as his C2 S1600 :D Did Gass retire? the back end looks in a right mess

Just got back from Ireland and i have to agree with u about a small rally, couldn't get anywhere near the road, Brick walls and hedges as well as climbing 3ft high barbed wire fences and knee high deep in bogs (mud). Not my idea of fun for access for spectators but a well run event for safety. Post some pic's soon.
Cheers

Nice shots, what lenses you used?

my comments would be to ask why use 1/1250 as a shutter speed. It freezes the wheels so its hard to judge if the car is in motion, or if its just parked there. Try some radial blur in photoshop on the wheels and see what that does.
Otherwise nice...

Nice shots Jim:)
It's hard to play with settings when you only get a few cars through on each run

I agree with your comments, but it will be 2009 before I see WRC again and I was not going to loose the shot through blurr if I did not get it right, may be not perfect but I have a record of the top cars :(

Awesome shots, the "rearranged" backend is a good one.
Hey, do you mind if I share these on a dedicated subaru rally board I'm a part of?

I got the wrong end of the stick when Jim said last chance until 2009... I thought "crap, I wanted to go next year!?!"
I said I was slow!

I assume he's referring to the fact that there is no Rally Ireland in 2008, which is a shame because from all accounts they put on a better show than we get over here :)

Thanks Minn, I used to get my footage from Enormously sideways etc. but they arenot being hosted anymore, probably high bandwidth problems, and server issues.
I am so mad at Speed TV for not covering this class sport, Still not the same as going to see them live but since I moved to Florida, I miss my old rallying.
Nascar sucks but that is a whole different story.
Great shots Jim considering the conditions.

No problem guys ~ I'm just glad to be able to share that with others... and the site is pretty well kept up (most rallies are posted in their entirety within 48 hours of completion). And I see that they've already got Rally GB Day one up!
