Greetings All,
I'm looking for someone who might have some raw images of group photos and a portrait or two that I can evaluate for imaqe quality.
I'm trying to move to a better quality image for wedding photgraphy / portraits. Currently I shoot film and the 10D.
I'm leaning toward's the MarkII but have also considered moving to a leaf valeo. I'd like to maintain my investment in Canon accessories if possible. Having some real world sample images that I can attempt to get a "feel" for what I'm going to get with the MarkII would be most appreciated.

Surely there are more of you out there than this? :)
Just kidding, but really would love to see anything you have that would help me determine a comparrison. I also hadn't realized the noise reduction is supposed to be better? So I assume low light improvements?

Mark II image quality is better than 10D. Especially in noise, dynamic range and resolution (I use RAW and C1 with Etcetera profiles). I never post RAW files on the net. Can't you just take my word for it? :)
The noise levels are so good that when you edit photos you often have see from exif if it was ISO 400 or 1250. Noise is also very tolerable to pushing exposure up and sharpening. Level of noise depends a lot on exposure and subject so I recommend borrowing or renting one to test it yourself.

Text means nothing, it's the raw files that mean everything. ^_^

Not sure the reservation on the RAW. Not looking for anything of value other than the ability to determine image clarity. I will certainly check into renting one in the mean time, if anyone can share a file or two, it would help expedite the sales process for the perspective camera supplier.
I'm hoping it's the Mark II that addresses my current goals, otherwise I'll have to await the next version of the 1DS (and it's more than likely hefty price tag).

There are couple of full size JPEG's in http://www.photography-on-the.net/1DmarkII/ converted with vanilla C1 profile and sharpening.

If you give me an idea of what you want, I might be able to help.
I have a 1DmkII and a 10D so can givve you pretty reasonable comprisons. But don't exactly have any "models" to use.
I'm also not sure how much time I'll have over this weekend, but if you give me some ideas I'll see what I can do for you.

You could do a standard candid photo with both cameras, everything else being equal, that would be awesome! Pekka, I'll check the highres images as well and thanks.

On pbase you can do a search by camera. There are now thousands of images from this camera. I'm sure you could glean a could representation of the camera's capabilities from there.

Thanks for sharing the link, I'll look there but thusfar all I see are .jpg files. I want a raw image so that I can compare and contrast resolution, obviously a jpg won't work. Hopefully there are some raw images here that I can evaluate and if so, I'll post whether I find them.
Regards,
Jim

Here is what I"m looking for that I haven't seen yet. Here is my 10D and I shot this on a tripod with the mirror locked up. I set the focus and set aperture priority to F8. This was low lighting (why mostly why I would use a higher iso even though I know in action shots you would too). Most of the high iso shots I've seen don't really show....low lighting. They are always well lit. I just want to see the two technologies side by side all the way though the iso range so I can see for myself.

I just noticed that 200 has a little more punch to it. Maybe turning up the iso sometimes isn't such a bad thing. But I guess you could always simulate the grain in PS after words.
