super cool detail. . i love these. i shot one of these.....just the S3 . . im thinking of getting the canon 500d macro lens ...just so i can step back from my subject. unlike this one . . i was all on him. and still didnt get much detail....

I can highly recommend the 500D -I use it for all my closeups and use to use it with tubes when I was shooting with the 100mm macro.

cool. thanks....i cant wait,...i think that is my pic...
just that and the 58mm adapter for my S3, and i should be in business. . .i think..
im waiting really to learn a bit more, so i dont make a bad decision, but i think i cant go wrong with that lens

I'm getting a lot of positive feedback on Flickr for that one -very difficult to take and I deleted a lot of frames to get to that one image...

John--Beautiful set. Love both pics. The color is awesome and focus is spot on. Only wish we had some here to shoot (35 degrees today).

Excellent shots, #2 is my favorite, lovely detail, glad you got some global warming all I got the cold, wet & windy side of this warming effects :lol:

Thanks Mark! We've had snow on Vesuvius twice so far this year but it hasn't lasted more than a few days each time.

Thanks! That's the image that was the most difficult -I was trying to get the eyes to the mouth in focus and the critter was moving. I probably shot close to 30 or 40 frames to get that one image...
