Look at this: http://www.sandisk.com/pressrelease/20040823.htm :)

A photographer wanted to make photos of an exploding bridge. He used three digital cameras operated with remote control. Unfortunately the cameras were too close and were destroyed... see that lens flying through the air!... but the CF cards survived! 8)

One word.....fool. I hope he used cheap cameras.

Of course the cards were protected from the blast by the camera body so Sandisk really has nothing to brag about. But, good marketing technique.

Seems to me they might have gotten the idea from the D30 and Microdrive that got recovered from the 9/11 rubble:

I don't think so, it was $15,000 worth of equipment. Did you see the lens flying around in the photo? His cameras were not P&S cameras. But it doesn't really matter to him, SanDisk was so proud that the memory cards survived that they paid him the $15,000..... :?

If he was a Canon user, then he was lucky...........

.........cuz that lens doesn't have a red stripe......so at least it was one of those cunsumer grade lenses.

.........If he was a Ni**n user, he was lucky too...

.........cuz now he'll have a good reason to buy Canon.

...............just in time for the 20D
