I was working on a final project for a b&w film photography I'm currently taking and in order to correctly setup the scene + shot settings I experimented with my XT first before taking a shot with a film camera (Canon Rebel 2000).
I picked 'light painting' as a subject of my project and wasn't originally supposed to use the 'test' digital images for anything but I sort of like them. Tell me what you think, and how can I improve.

No PP at all except resizing.

Cool shots, the first looks awesome, the only thing about the second is that you are visible in the shot.

they all look cool. the first one I like most because it looks like a bunch of sparklers or something are going off

The white part behind the vase is a shirt and his arm is a bove that. I really like the first shot I also like the last one. I think the only thing is to make sure you aren't visible in that shot. Looks good

Thanks for all the C&C.

Yeah, there are two wine glasses filled with water for a more 'dramatizing' effect. The real wine glass was being used off the camera by me :)

Note to myself: do not wear a white reflective t-shirt while illuminating an object in a long exposure shot.

What I found interesting about this project was that initially I had completely different ideas about the setup. It simply progressed as I went until I came across ideas I have never imagined. So, I've learned that I shouldn't say something's impossible until I try it.

I really like that first one. I think you should print it out and photograph it with your film camera to submit for your film-based project! :-D

#1 is an amazing shot...a very nice angle for clicking this type of image...
#2 is also very good except that we can see you in the image...

What did you use for the light? How long were your shutters!? Awesome!
