I can't comment on exposure because this monitor is junk.
#1, it's a good picture but the flowers sort of ruin it. I think the focus should be the B+G and not the flowers. I'd like to see this without the colouring.
I wish you would've gotten her whole dress in the frame as well as maybe decreasing the DOF a little.

#2 Would be a great color picture.

Yes from me as well except get rid of the blur, it's distracting.

I tend to agree... the shot looks great but the blur is more like a blurred vignette instead of a DOF modification. For me it doesn't work. I do like the framing.

LOVING the Mustang shot! But I agree that it would probably look better full color as well

The selective color takes the focus from the B&G, so I don't like it. It's even worse on the mustang, full color might be better. Can't comment much given I don't like the processing.

Okay, I'm probably going to get in trouble for posting more pictures but....throwing out the selective coloring....throwing out the bouquet....are these better?

selective coloring is soooooo yesterday. i dont quite understand why you would put a vignette around the mustange picture? its ott and not necessary. your black and white conversion is a bit muddy as well. i would stick with color.

I think what the B&W conversion does in the B&G shot is detracts from the kiss, because the cloth covering the alter looks very fussy and kind of separates them.

But in the colour shot, because it is the same tones as the carpet, it kind of blends in to the background and makes them stand out more against it.

Does that make sense to anyone but me? ! ;-)

I concur! I will leave them alone....full color....no selective coloring or b/w. :)

I have seen many b/w photos that I absolutely loved here....just when I think I got the idea I bomb. *Obviously* I am doing something wrong in the b/w department....how can I make b/w pop.

Vctoria, my apologies for not getting here sooner.. :)

A simple method ( I think ) for poppy is after you have desaturated them in whatever way you do...then duplicate the layer and change it to soft light mode..then reduce the opacity as needed :)

Grace....glad you could stop by! :)

Did just that and what a difference....I think it looks much better than it did.

Thanks for the tip.
