Since June I have been hired to do the Tex Mex Fest dance/concert series from coast to coast which is a Freddy Fender tribute. The most recent stop was Billy Bob's in Fort Worth, TX this last Saturday. The act includes Tejano music artists like Little Joe and Emilio; country artist like Charlie Rich JR and Rick Trevino;and Tex Mex artists like Augie Meyers and Flaco Jimenez.

Billy Bob's is billed as the worlds largest honjy tonk and believe me it was huge. I ran my azz off from backstage to on-stage to in front of the stage. During these events I have free reign so no 3 song limit, I shoot all night and hope I don't have to pee (often).

As always the HUGE & UGLY watermarks are neccessary for reasons that have been addressed previously before.

Oh, My, that looks like fun! If I was hired by a band/tour like this I would consider trying to get a remote camera in a lighting truss like I do at the fights at the casino. You should get something no one else ever gets that helps set you apart. If your tour comes to Santa Barbara let me know and I'll come shoot with you! :-)

I looked at a high possible vantage point when they were replacing light bulbs, but getting my gear back would have entailed me waiting all night so the tables could be removed so the lift could be brought out again so I could retreive my stuff. I did have an asistant but she was tasked with keeping an eye on my roller camera bag and lighting the steps to the stage as I ran back and forth.

I understand ... I always have to wait after the fights for tables to be moved and getting the lift in or sometimes they need to lower the truss (it's on four winches) but it is still way late at the end.
