Well, for the first time, I got close to an Eagle. Just my luck, midday, cloudy, and he was back lit! Still, you take what you can get...............

You did well for the strong backlighting Ira, congrats!I find it hard to overexpose for the shadows on birds with extremes of dark and light when backlit, you either have dark shadows or blown whites, again well done.!

You're killing me Ira.. It might be easier for you to tell me what birds you don't have down there because I'm sure it would be only one.... the dodo bird!! :)
Excellent shots Ira. Great timing on the BIF.

Thank you all for the nice comments....... I know where he hangs out, and soon I'm sure I will catch him in better lighting conditions.

Very nice captures indeed and BIG congrats on your first Ira.
Thanks Reyno. This bird hangs in the same area all the time, so I feel sure that I will get another chance to photograph him in better light.

Congrags on the eagle shots! I like #3 the best. Conditions looked brutal, so it's nice that you got some keeps out of it.
Ahhhh...I still remember getting my first eagle shot! I was freaking out! I happened to have my wife and kids with me, so it was even more special. I took well over a hundred frames and they are still among my best eagle shots to this day.
