For those of you who have used both, is there any advantage to getting Photomatix for creating HDR images over the capabilities of the Photoshop CS2 HDR feature?
If so, what does Photomatix do that CS2 doesn't?
Thanks
Mike

Photomatix has a much better, easier to use HDR to 16/8-bit tone compression feature. Although it's often abused by users that like crassly tonemapped images. The actual merging of separate exposures into the HDR image is pretty much the same.

Thanks Pete :-). I'll probably take a closer look at Photomatix then.

Good call. Pete's images are among the most amazing HDR shots I've seen.
