I don't know if this is the right place to ask this but here goes.

Can folks list the type of lenses they use when they post on the critique corner for those of us who are constantly looking at what lenses to add to our collection. I would like to see what a lens is capable of.

Thanks

This is a good idea.....................I think if you do some research for a couple days though, you will get the idea of what is good and what is not pretty quickly. There are much more specialized sites that review and compare canon lenses with examples all over the net.

Cheers.

You can also look at www.pbase.com .

They have lens information, so you can search for pictures taken with a specific lens.

Best regards,

www.photodo.com

Start with the purpose. What subjects do you want to shoot?

photosig.com has exactly what you want ... they sort all photos by a bunch of criteria including lens ...

It's a shame that PhotoSIGs database is so messed up by people entering what they want. The 100-400 L has about 12 or 15 different names. However, it is a good place to check for photos by lens.

That is a good idea and one that has been brought up before. I try to do that but forget most of the time.

I do leave the exif info attached to my images so one could always find it on my pbase site.

How hard would it be for one knowledgable individual to clean up the Photosig mess.. I mean c'mon'.. I could do it for them in under and hour..

(course no one would know what the lenses are because I'd type the names all funny
