try your local auto supply shop for solar reflectors that fit inside a car's windshield. Some are heavy on graphic designs, but others i've seen are silver or gold reflectors. Probably not cheaper but they look larger than the eBay disk.

Photoflex and Reflectasol are better, but not cheaper.
The major quality problem with a spring-ring collapsable reflector will be whether it remains flat. Most of them tend to warp into a "potato chip" shape and become nearly useless as reflectors. Photoflex collapsables do remain flat--and they are the only company that advertises that they remain flat.
Reflectasol Squares--a totally different design of reflector that collapses like an umbrella--remains flat because of its ribbed structure. You can almost always find used Reflectasols on eBay. The fabric is removable, dry-cleanable, and replaceable. They last practically forever--I've got 20-year-old Reflectasols that I use every day.

I have that reflector, but I purchased it from a photo store. It works great and has served me well for the money.

If you don't mind the appearance just use white foam core. It's reflective and returns soft, non specular light. Silver reflectors are more efficient but I 'm not a big fan of the extremely high level of specularity. At times it's extremely undesirable.

Then go with a white reflector, a 2 sided with white on one side, or a 5 in 1.

Thats a 32" .. but I got the 43" .. great deal, and its still flat ..
folds up to like a frizzbee size .. ok .. heheh, thats an exaggeration .. :p
but it does fold down quite small .. and has come in very, very handy ..
