Quick question whats the attachement limit.
Two attachments per post, and if they're photos, then 800px on the longest side and 100kb each.
If you have your own photo hosting (photobucket/flickr etc) then there's not restriction on file size (800px on longest side still) and you can display up to 8 linked images per post using the tags (or using the [img]http://photography-on-the.net/forum/images/editor/insertimage.gif button.

OK two per post..but is there an overall limit as to how much attachement space you've got.

No overall limit, no. That's governed by the space on the physical servers, which is added to on an as-needed basis.
Many people here organise hosting sites for themselves and link their photos. This saves the overhead on the POTN servers, and because the size limit is removed, the image quality improves as well (since you don't need to use so much jpg compression).

OK two per post..but is there an overall limit as to how much attachement space you've got. IMAGE POSTING RULES (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=74718) only allow 2 attachments by the OP per thread. You can always post a link to them, though.
Some exceptions are "Show Me...", "Post your best...", Tutorials, etc.
Welcome to POTN!

Apologies, I read that and my mind assumed it was per post. I guess because I've multi-quoted messages in the past with a total of more than 8 smilies and been told by the software to edit the post.
