Hello all.

I think I understand the concept.
You take pictures of your (macro) object with different areas in focus.
throw all of the pictures into combine ZM and presto....

well, while there are some here who have problems with the "presto", I am still stuck on the varied focused pics.

Let's start simple - an immobile flower
given that I have an S3 with macro conversion lens
and an adequate tripod
what are the mechanics of changing the focus point in the same picture

I know it sounds like I am just a beginer - that's because I am.

Not sure how it works with your camera but you have to be in manual focus. Line up the shot on the tripod. Focus on the nearest part of the flower and then check you can change to the furthest part of the flower you want in focus by changing the focus. Assuming you can go back to the nearest part in focus and take a shot but note where the picture is just going OOF and use that for the next focus point using just the focus control - take another picture and carry on like that until you get to the furthest part you want in focus.
Combinezm will resize the pics as appropriate during the stacking process.

I respect any1 hu can stack well, haha i tried 1 the other day and as u can c i forgot to shoot the middle:rolleyes:

imo stakcing up to 1:1 for me is a peice of piss..after 1:1 forget it,,.im crap!

haha. stacking pictures up to 1x lifesize is 'easy' for him, about 1x lifesize its not:D

shooting up to 1:1 is easy..after 1:1 i find it really hard,..sorry for my uk slang:o
