I had to pick up my daughter at the bus station last night, and since it was sort of wet and misty, I decided to take a couple of pictures.

Let me know what you think.

Very nice. I like the sharpness on the second one.

I like #1 except for the tilted road, the muted colours and the ghosting cars look great....#2 is also very good except for the selective colour, but then I hate that effect nearly always. However the subject, is pretty cool and I like the guy reading the paper.

Thanks for the comments, bikerider, esp. the constructive criticism. Is this version more to your liking? It's still very desaturated...

well I like the de-sat colours.......you seem to have reduced the contrast though, it's better in the original version lol.

I like both shots and I think the composition is good as a b/w, but when you add the color, the subject that catches the eye is now centered. Maybe try to re-shoot the shot or re-crop it so that the object you're leaving saturated will be falling along the "rule of thirds" lines.

Play around with it. I'm no expert at all so take my advice with a grain of salt.

Keep up the good work
