I just finished throwing together my first gallery at www.photowebby.com and it would be great to C&C on the images as much as anything else, (probably more so).

Very much a work in progress I'm sure I'll change the design at some stage but time was short and I wanted to get something up with all the photos I've been taking since getting my 40d September 1st. (Actually this is still a very small selection of pics, many many more awaiting PP prior to uploading).

Still playing around setting up the gallery software so some things will work randomly for a little while but all pics can be accessed.

Looks like a very good start. Some nice images... One thing that strikes me is that the titles of the galleries don't stand out from the other text, i'm no web designer but maybe it's the color or a little too much text competing with the titles. But your certainly on the right track...

I like the B&W images a lot. They have that wonderful old-time look. I might have used a bit less vignetting on them, but that's just my preference.

The gallery itself is extremely generic. It just yells out "made with canned template" to me. And since that's your entire site (as far as I can tell), it does look a bit like the site has been done on the cheap. I'd recommend custom developing the rest of the site (home page, other info, etc) and restricting the CMS type code to just a section of the site for your gallery.
