I'm looking for a quality one light setup for bridal portraits that is portable and has a battery pack. Any favorites?

Use your 580ex. If one is not enough,mount both on the light stand.

Agreed, mount both on a stand bounced into an umbrella - more then adequate.

For event work on-the-go, Quantum QFlash for on-camera flash bracket or off camera. Alternately, ANY parabolic reflector flash studio flash with a battery for off camera on stand. Lumedyne, Paul Buff, etc. etc.

I've used a 580 on the camera and a 550 shooting into the umbrella.. worked very well

If you don't want to spend a grand for a combo QFlash and Turbo battery pack, use what you have and spend and extra buck-fifty or so to get the CP-E4 battery pack for your 580EX. This is what I had before I splurged on the QFlash T5DR.
