The title of the post pretty much says it. I could not find it on the canon website.

I need to know the model # for the charger unit for the BP-511 battery. If anyone has access to the box with the USA barcode number, that would be helpful too.

Thanks,

Rad

PS. I need to pick one up on the way home from work. The camera store wont tell me - over the phone - if they have any in stock unless I have the numbers.

The Canon single charger is called the CB-5L, this is the unit that comes with the 10D and the D-Rebel.

Thanks, moot point though, as they did not have EITHER ONE! Now I am stuck out of town with a camera an no friggen charged battery to put in it. AAAARRRRGGGHHHH!!!!!

At least on my old ElanII you could put good old Double AAs in the grip if you had to.

If you can find someone with a G-series camera, they can charge your battery in-camera.

The charger that came with my Pro1 is a compact, plug-in-the-wall model. It is CG-580...a 100-240V charger (meaning it should work internationally). The Pro1 uses the updated BP-511A battery...but the charger should work fine for the BP-511 (the major difference between the two batteries is that the 511A is slightly stronger). This charger holds one battery at a time.
