The color is gorgeous.
But there is insufficient detail in the city -- or the hint af a lake -- the retain our interest. You need to find a higher , closer shooting location and wait a bit for the tall buildings to become better defined in the foreground.

From a photographic critique point of view, I agree with what Howie said.
It's been 30 years since I've been in Hamilton, but if I recall correctly, those are steel mills along the southern shoreline of Hamilton Bay. Perhaps more detail would take the "interest" out of the skyline.
It looks as if the elevation is such that this photo was taken from on top of the Niagara escarpment. To get any higher elevation, you would have to do low level arial photography. Then you have the problem of the motion of the airplane.

Thanks for the comments Leighow - the colour is what I wanted to highlight. I took a number of shots at different exposures that morning (when you get up at 5 am and drive for an hour you tend to take advantage of the moment!).
Here's one with a bit more detail, but the colour of the sky suffers, I think.

You're right, Sailor Don, I was up on the escarpment. At the Jolly Cut, actually. The only way I could get any higher would be to shinny up a flag pole.
Which one of these two do you think captures the moment better? Or should I be trying something else entirely?
