First let me say that if the mods see fit then move this to forum talk, however it is directed to the frequent users of the Glamour forum.

Guys,
I'm sure you are all aware of the changes going on in the wedding forum. If not check out this link.

http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=410249

I have been lurking and Posting in G&N for a little over a year, and have been welcomed from the start. I also post and lurk in other areas of the forum including weddings. I can't say I was warmly welcomed in the wedding forum, but I also don't get bent when I am given harsh critique, as long as it is done professionally.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I think we need to be careful, to not fall into the same trap as the wedding forum did. I don't feel we are even close to this as I know we always seem to welcome new people, and share the knowledge we have. Probably a good time for us all to review the rules Pekka has put in place for the G&N forum.

It looks like all have not read and understood Glamour & Nude forum rules in http://photography-on-the.net/forum/...ad.php?t=91084 (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=91084) , especially the lines

# Comments should be related to the photography at hand. This means technique and execution (lighting, composition, etc.).

# No personal comments about models or photographers. Discussion about models should be limited to skills involved such as posing, makeup, expression, etc.

# Keep language professional . No sexual remarks. No juvenile remarks.

Please, let's keep this a photography forum. Also remember, G&N posting permission can also be revoked.

Once again, I haven't seen anything that would make me think we are heading that way, but I enjoy the group we have here and would hate to see us loose our perspective....

Thanks for letting me get this off my chest.

Jim,
Don't know much about what goes on the the wedding forum, but I have only had one instance of someone being a little "self important" in the "rule reminding dept" here. I would, also, hate to see this become too strict in terms of what we can and cannot say.
When I post photos, I enjoy the comments, crits, and general banter that surrounds the posting. I feel that as long as it is in good taste, not offensive in any way, and pertains to the photo at hand, then let 'er rip! Not sure if this helps or not, but my .02.

iv always found the mods to be ok with simple remarks such as pretty girl ,lovly figer ,beautifull eyes that sort of thing as long as there is also reffrence to the shot as a shot .
i think we all know what they do not like to be said .
Rob.
