just been trying to resize some pictures I have put together for use as windows wallpapers tonight.
problem is, I get a small trace of jaggies when resizing to 1024 or 1280, i here that if you resize in factors of 1,2,3,4,5 etc. you do not get the problem, but is there really no way to get an image into 1024 or 1280 resolution without jaggies?

I tried searching but to no avail.

thanks!
Martin

What's the size of the original image and what editing program as you using to do the resizing?

Image... Image Size... with Bicubic for the method. You should not be getting jaggies if you do it this way.

I'm using bicubic, and the jaggies are not really bad, but they are there for sure

Are you viewing the image at 100% or at a higher magnification? There's not reason why you should have "jaggies" when viewing at 100%.

yep, 100% view
maybe I shold try it with a few more examples as it may be an isolated case
