I'm not sure if this is the correct section for this, or if it would qualify for the "pro corner" section but I figured I would put it here.

I have been looking at doing some small scale work as a freelance photographer doing things like Engagement photos, Senior portraits, etc... I know I am not at a "pro" level, but the shoots I have done so far have received positive feedback and a couple of referrals from people who have seen what I can do. The problem is I have been playing it safe so far and only doing this for friends and for free, so I am not sure how to take the positive feedback. Here are some sample shots, I would like some honest criticism about them. I am thinking about stepping things up and starting to put myself out there more and charging. FWIW, I know I still have a long way to go, but I do not plan on charging much. I know this opens up other discussions about how prices should be fairly consistent, but I think I will open another thread for that discussion. Anyway, thanks for any feedback you can give me.

I forgot to add:

My main goal right now would be to get better and earn some extra money to support my habit of buying good photo equipment.

I'm glad there's a big 2004 in the middle or I'd steal these.

Those images look great. Only critique I can come up with would be to be aqware of the background.... piicture 3 is the only one that that applies to.
