Hi Sue, welcome to the forum!

I can not answer your question, but I am also curious. I just bought my wife the A560 as a Christmas gift. She has been wanting a digital camera, and we don't like lugging the 30D around everywhere. Besides that, she just wants something that she can umm well, point and shoot :D

I will be looking for responses on this question as well.

Morning folks.

I can answer that. My parents recently bought an a570 which I can assume isn't a million miles off the 560. Brilliant photos. 6x4 prints off them are virtually indistinguishable from a print camera unless you know what you're looking for. Colours are punchy and vibrant (and pretty accurate) and it's a couple of tiers up from my a75, which in itself produces fine images for a compact.

Hope that helps you. Cheers.

Sue, I have had an A560 about 3 months and love it. I took about 70 pictures over Thanksgiving and put just a few of them in the following slide show using Photo Story. Keep in mind the pictures are compressed by Photo Story so the originals are even higher quality. These were all shot in Auto mode and many were one handed. All were indoors and moderate to low lighting.

Not a bad little camera. I prefer the sd1000 over it being smaller and all. But I have the SD800 so...but I take pics in my store with it all the time. Canon produces some of the best pics out of all the camera. Maybe just their screens too...
