first as a call for help, also as a warning:

When i put my burned disc into the costco digital picture reader, it acts as if there is nothing there. They can be opened through other means on their computers, but the technician said the image quality would be horrible. He also said that if i manually put ".jpg" at the end of my image titles, this would somehow help. Now, i'm no computer whiz, but i thought image names and image type were two seperate things.

does anybody have any experience with this? suggestions?

I found the best way to get prints off a CD is to use Roxio or Neo & burn the files. I save the images as jpegs rename them to what ever & take them in. I've never had a problem that way I also use my local Costcs print profile when I'm editing.

The Costco reader is looking for a .jpg file. When you have ImageBrowser loaded and are working on your picture, try doing a "save as" to see if you can save your picture file as a .jpg (also known as JPEG) in the highest possible quality. Then copy it to whatever media you're taking to Costco and it should be readable by their equipment. One other possibility-- since you're using a Mac, be sure you are burning the CD in a way that can be read by any computer. The Costco equipment is most likely running on machines that are not Macs.

Interesting nickname...

Are you trying to print RAW files? Their machines will not take RAW. Save them as JPEGs.
