A good wallpaper candidate, with a nice, as I see it, "alien" colormap :)
Karlovy Vary is a medicinal water site. The photo is of the stuff that runs from a geyser to a water canal as shown in the next photo.

Is that first one of surface algae?

I'd be afraid to get anywhere near that water, where is it, so I can be sure to stay away?

Molydood: Thanks fot the complement! But I believe the merit is more of the castle itself than of the photographer... ;)

sdwike: :) I'm not positively shure on whether they are algae or some sorte of compound. Should it it be algae, they'd have to stand "living" on (at least!) sulphur! But it is not "urban" polution, and contact with it would be, I believe, harmless. After all, it is the deposit from spring water drank throughout the city ;) As for the location, as the subject says, it's at Czech Republic's Karlovy Vary (Karlsbad) Thermal Springs, close to the German border. And it is a beautiful town,, so it is a great loss keeping away!
