She was wonderful! My wife came with me (she has a standing invitation and gets an "Event Staff" badge and meal vouchers) which is getting rare. We stayed the whole show. She has lost nothing at 63, unlike myself at 62. On the down side, I was limited to three songs, stage left, not to move from my spot ... which turned out to be kinda silly as the talent buyer who gave me the limitations later asked for full stage photographs from the light board! I had to remind her that she herself had nailed my shoes to the floor. "Oh" she says. :-) Lori does the best she can. Anyway, there is not a lot of variety in these.
#1 The obligatory collage:

#4 Something for avante garde in the crowd:

# 5 A B&W white with some emotion:

#6 And a signature close-up (with a little PS smoothing, cause the close ups were not flattering and I got rid of all but one other that I could touch up if necssary.)

There are couple of more in my website gallery: http://www.dwightmccann.com/ChumashCasinoResort/DianaRoss11082007.html
Anyway, a grand concert with four (4) costume changes that I would dearly like to have gotten! If get a chance, go see her.

i like #2 the best, but #1 is similar and a nice collage...the b/w has a nice conversion but i can't see her arms at all and it looks weird, like she's a double amputee.

I like #1, 2 and last...
I don't much like the lettering on the collage though... YMMV

Hehehe, yes, it looks like no spotlight on the arms ... they were doing this really weird thing on her with the spotlights ... one with a heavy red gel covering her whole body and then a normal "white" one on her upper torso/head. A very nice effect when it worked but it required way too much coordination. Anyway, her arms were probably outside the white zone, but since my mind knew what was going on it didn't occur to me that it looked odd.

Yes, the lettering, well, I probably had had a drink or two and my muse got loose ... I agree.:lol::lol:

Dwight, the first 2 look great. And I know what I'm talking about, the B&W one of her profile, can you do something to tuck her in a little? If I saw that of myself (which she looks 100 times better than I do), I'd be disappointed. Well, maybe I'm being harsh. Maybe, just a little? :)

Well, no, I haven't gotten over to PS and PI doesn't have a liquefy tool and these are supposed to be documentary. But, you know, Black Girls are pretty famous for their, um, er, ah, how to say this, ample behinds and I can tell you for certain there is a large group of men that utterly love that! OTOH, I imagine that is why every outfit of her four had a large "wrap" the she could use to completely cover everything below the neck. But the thing is, she's such a grand performer that you never notice anything isn't perfect. With 20/20 hindsight I think I should have skipped this image completely, sigh.

Yeah, I could have just gone with that ONE shot and come out smelling like a rose! :-)
Off topic, my little studio is coming together finally ... I'd love to have you and your bride come up and check it out at some point ... maybe after I get a 1DsMIII for everyone to try out.
