Anyone ever had problems with mixing different brands of studio strobes for a single shot? I'm mostly concerned about any possible differences in color temp.

I recently bought a pair of Hensel monolights. If I want to add additional lights, I was hoping on getting some AB or other monolights that are less expensive. Most strobes claim to be "daylight balanced", but I'm curious if real world use bears this out.

If i were in your shoes i would be under the impression that they all have similar color temps just difference in performance as a whole. If there was a noticeable difference after you bought them then a cheap fix is getting some color correcting gels.

Doing some quick research it seems like the Hensel color temp is 5500 and the bees are 6000

I've found about 3 different color temp values for each of the manufacturers. :(

It all depends on who you listen to, I guess.

I really like the Hensels with the integrated remote receivers and the shoe mounted transmitter. It makes it really easy to change the power output with a single remote device. Plus, these things are built really well. I just don't care for the cost. I can get two AB lights for the cost of 1 Hensel.
