Hey Peoples,

i have been doing alot of work with my wife and firends doing mostly headshots and simpler close up work examples of my last shoot can be found here (http://www.michaellambert.ca/AmandaSalo). I have been enjoying working with my current setup ( 2x 500watt CL and my 580EX II) however the CLs have been getting warm in the smaller areas i work in and have been looking at these.

Can someone share any experiences they have had with these (http://cgi.ebay.com/2-X-New-40W-Photo-lighting-Master-Slave-Strobe-Flashes_W0QQitemZ200176685287QQihZ010QQcategoryZ30 087QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem).

Thanks in advance.

What's a CL?

The flash units for your link to are very, very, low powered.

They might be fine for accent lights, but they are basically so low powered they would add little to the mix.

If you are looking for flash on a bargain, about the best you will be able to do with new gear is the Sunpak 383, at about $80.00.

If your budget has to be less than this, you will have to do some very careful bargain hunting for used hotshoe based flash units that have some manual mode potential.

Enjoy! Lon

My guess is continuous light. Pretty sure it is not center line, the main "CL" that resonates in my brain.

Enjoy! Lon
