430EX Flash

I am looking at getting a external falshgun fro general use. I am a bit strap for cash so cannot get the 580EX flash before anyone says so. I have fund it at £159.99 in the UK, - where i live. I have a 350D so i would like any advice about what is the best wine.

That's about the best you're going to get. Kerso is about a tenner cheaper plus p+p = the same.

A 430 EX would probably work great for you unless you need the extra power of the 580. I used mine this season shooting night football games that didn't have adequate lighting. No problems encountered. Here's an example.
