Took some pictures of my car then tried some effects in photoshop to make it look a bit more dramatic.
I think this sort of thing has probably been done to death, but thought I'd post it anyway, as I'd be interested to hear your ideas on other similar effects so I could try them, or just any advice on how to improve this picture generally
thanks,
Martin

using a polarizer would cut down the reflections on the glass--right now, it looks like the wind screen is cracked...

thanks, I was thinking of that, and I intend to get a polarizer, specifically for car photos.
the photo was actually taken with my lowly ixus compact, and its not the best. However, it was the effect I was posting more than anything, cheers for the comments.

Good digital photo editing effect. It looks like something one might find in an automotive magazine ad.
Good technique.

I think the pic could be improved significantly if you gave me the car :D
I just looked at for the second time, and I noticed theres a blured edge to the back of the car, with a shadow effect to it.
While the front of the car looks like its ment to be in the pic, it gives the back the appearnce that its being pushed out of the image.

What I am having trouble with is the fact that there is a dark halo around the entire car. Did you try anything to get rid of that?

Here is another image with similar effect but without the halo:

I actually placed the halo in myself on the first image thinking it was required but perhaps not.
Moppie, I'll let you know when I'm done with it :P
