There is a lot of talk on both sites about it & the Ikelite housing, and the differences etc. I am researching going the G 9 route to replace my current camera.

I been researching this also. I've read that you can't change things like aperture unless you hold the shortcut button while pressing something else. So 2 hands are required but it is full control, just not exactly like it would be out of the case.

I just used this housing with my G9 diving down in florida. Liked the housing very much. Very easy to use and go from mode to mode, turn flash on/off, etc. No complaints - except one... I forgot to put back on the silver ring which goes around the G9's lens opening. I had removed it to put an extension lens on the camera. The lens hung up on the UW case. Once I removed the camera from the housing, got the lens to retract and replaced the silver ring, it worked perfectly. I have a bunch of the pictures hanging on the wall of my office! It is a great price for a simple housing. If you dive a lot, you may want to consider a housing which will take aux strobes. But for an occasional diver, I highly recommend it!
