On the last picture I wish I had his entire hand in the frame but some how missed it.

Just to elaborate... last year in highschool. I'm not sure why there is an emphasis on getting Senior Pictures taken... some people will drop $300+ for their senior pictures. When I was in high school, I opted for the $10 one shot for yearbook thing :D

I like the last 2. The second one looks as though you shot it with a all black backdrop and extrated it and placed on the new backdrop. The fly
away hairs don't show up in it which make it appear altered. Am I correct
on the extraction? Nice work.

Denny,

How do you light the white background to get rid of shadows and make it so white?

Thanks in advance,
Ovi

I light it with 2 photogenic PG4001ML monolights. On some photos if its not white enough can turn it whiter in photoshop either by using curves and setting the background as white. or even selecting the background and then replacing it with an even color of white.

Usually the background is fine though just lighting it one or two stops over the main lights.

Really, the only distracting thing I see in the first picture is the oval mark on the bottom of his shoe, and the light pink background around the bottom of him.

Denny,

Maybe I'm being too critical here, but this is the critique corner.
On the first composite photo, the center image has shadowy squares or rectangles that overlap. Is this a result of digital photoeditor?

One shadow seems to overlap the other and goes right into the subject's jacket.

These are not obvious shadows. You have to look hard to see them.

Don, you are right, that was my first attempt and need to pay closer attention to that, I never realized the squares were that noticible. Thanks for pointing that out. Denny

Looks like you did a great job. I'd just fix those squares on the top one.
