I am planning a sight-seeing trip to UK next year, and hoping to shoot dramatic autumn scenery, with beautiful (orange/red/yellow) leaves.

I need some information from any of you who are familiar with UK. I wish to know what month is the best time to go and where is the convenient locations for shooting. I will prefer locations which are easily accessible by public transport (around london?).

Any other information will be highly appreciated, too.

The best time differs from year to year, based on how cold/wet the weather is, so it's difficult to tie down a specific time.

Thanks for the reply.

Maybe you can give me an estimation, or the timing of last autumn.

During the late summer and into Autumn (The Fall) THIS SITE (http://www.forestry.gov.uk/) shows a map detailing the various locations and the colours of the leaves.

Over the last few years the beginning of November has been the about the best time down in the south of England (New Forest)
Things are still fairly colourful now but most of the leaves have fallen (most of them in my front garden!!)
