anyone have these problems? they are not consistent, but happens enough to piss me off.

- high quality images don't get generated, leaving pixelated images during the view in bridge, and during slideshow (when opening in ACR they look fine, but stay the same when ACR is closed and they are viewed in Bridge again).

- some photos are rotated, and the option to rotate clockwise or counterclockwise via is edit greyed out and unavailable)

- i just assigned a single star rating to a photo, and Bridge rotated it 90 deg cw. WTF!

- i can't assign metatags or keywords and get this error "the file IMGXXXX.CR2 cannot store XMP data. No changes will occur"

i've closed and restarted Bridge several times, to no avail.

:!:

actually, i just checked and .xmp files are missing for a bunch of these files which i guess explains why i am getting the screwy behavior...but i checked the recycle bin and didn't inadvertently delete them. i've purged the cache and refreshed, but nothing's working.

any ideas???

I had the same type of issue - resolved mine by purging the cache - I think. Some things will forever remain a mystery and that drives me really crazy.
