Does anyone know if the above lens can be made to work on a 10D at anything other than F2.8?

I tried it on mine, works ok at 2.8 but anything else just throws up the ERR-99 message and locks the camera up.

The lens has been chipped for digital and works perfectly on D60 and D30

Does this mean it just won't work on a 10D or am I doing something wrong?

I beleive that when this lens is re-chipped by Sigma it performs admirably on the 10D

If My memeory serves it was J.A.F.Dorrhoff who did that very thing and was thrilled with the lens from that point.

Contact Sigma.. they SHOULD re-chip it for you for free.. if they try and give you the run around.. insist!

the lens isnt on the list of rechippable lenses at sigma germany's website.
i once had a sigma 28-70 f:2.8 NON ex and Sigma UK told me they can just rechip EX versions of that lens and not NON ex versions. You should give sigam a call and find out. But sigma offered me to exchange the NON EX version for an EX version for £149.
