I have been having a problem with my IXUS 850, original post http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=400657&highlight=sean

I have took the camera in for warranty; camera was 'calibrated' but same problem. I took it back again and was told the 'optics' were replaced (I assume lens assembly). While the lady was getting my camera I took a look at her monitor and saw the following : "HAD RP BODY KIT (DO NOT DISCLOSE TO CUSTOMER)".

Anybody know what this means? I can't find any reference to this on the net at all.

Cheers
Sean

I think I would have come right out and asked!! I hope you find out. Makes you wonder though when they state on there not to tell you.

This is just a SWAG but it could mean that this camera had been refurbished prior to it being sold to you. RP Body kit = RePlacement body kit ?
Again, just a guess but it could account for your original problem. And it certainly would account for their reluctance to not tell you.
