View Full Version : Thanksgiving Table - Before and After (Processing, that is!)

My sister had Thanksgiving at her house this year. She is very proud of the table, which, for her is the centerpiece of family gathering.

This was just a "grab shot" but it seemed to have potential. I processed it with the intention of adding some drama, and enhancing the light that was there.

Any thoughts? Comments and Critique Encouraged. Especially if you think it might be nice framed, more than just a memento.

I think your post processing is good. The lighting in the top half is much more interesting, and it looks less cluttered with the bookshelves in deep shadow. The painting does look a bit garish PPed. And you've replaced the slightly washed out tones around the table with better saturation and contrast. Nice editing. Personally, I could imagine the picture in a magazine, but maybe not framed on a domestic wall. Cheers, Tony
